Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Global Head of Operations to join FMC International. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, this role will lead the global operations function, ensuring consistent, safe and efficient delivery of services across all regions. The successful candidate will be a strategic operator with deep operational experience, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of building high-performing, customer-focused teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global operations strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

• Lead worldwide operational, technical and commercial performance, driving profitability, utilisation and client satisfaction.

• Own global operational performance, resource planning, operational KPIs and service delivery excellence.

• Lead business development with key strategic clients and support major bids.

• Provide technical governance and approve methodologies, reports and technical standards.

• Drive operational excellence, digitalisation, continuous improvement and quality management.

• Develop succession plans and build a high-performing global leadership team.

• Ensure compliance with international regulations, HSEQ requirements and company governance.

• Manage enterprise operational risks and crisis response.

• Represent FMC with clients, classification societies, industry bodies and regulators.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent.

• Master Mariner and/or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency strongly preferred.

• 15+ years of senior leadership experience in maritime operations, surveying, technical management or consultancy. • Demonstrated executive leadership of global, multicultural teams.

• Strong commercial, operational and stakeholder management capability.
